Coquitlam Public Library implements Library PrintSpot as part of large solution purchase

We were proud to be selected by the Coquitlam Public Library to provide a multi-faceted solution to meet their public desktop computing needs as well as the needs of their mobile users.  The Library implemented a PC session time management and print cost management solution for their public workstations which Convergent integrated with the Library’s existing Konica Minolta multifunctional printer and coin-operated payment devices.  Convergent then implemented for mobile users Library PrintSpot which allows users from anywhere to submit print jobs and pick them up at the Library.   In a few short months, Library staff are already reporting cost recovery for print is four times what it was previously.  This is tangible financial benefit.   Also, the Library has found that guests to the community are finding their Library PrintSpot.  Within days of it being set-up there were already folks connecting to it online.  This certainly has brought a new level of community engagement to the Library’s services.   Critical to the Library’s decision was working with a Canadian company, with a long history in working with public libraries in a consultative fashion.  Our expertise both remote and onsite helped the Library achieve their aggressive goal of being fully live on the solution at both branches within two weeks of the project starting.  Congratulations to all involved!
