Convergent Library Technologies is a leading provider of technology and services to Canadian libraries and information organizations. We are unique in our ability to bring together diverse products and services specific to the library market. We are recognized among our peers as industry experts and are frequently engaged by libraries to provide consultative services. We are active development partners in both the BookWhere Suite and PeopleWhere products assisting with product direction based on customer driven expectations.

Founders

Allison Standen, MLIS (University of Western Ontario), MA

Allison has a background in public libraries, and has worked both in university and special library (government) libraries. She also worked for several years with a vendor of library management systems. Focused primarily on business development, Allison brings over 20 years’ experience working in and with libraries to her work at Convergent.

Phil Smith, BSc. (Physics, McMaster U)

Phil brings a work history of programming, development, system installation, professional services and project management to his work in identifying solutions, managing partner relationships and overseeing the Convergent operations.

We are based in the great city of Barrie, Ontario, a growing, thriving community situated on the shores of Lake Simcoe, close to the ski hills and a 1-hour train ride from downtown Toronto.
