Over Capacity Event a great success at OLASC16: Highlight was talk about expanding library facility usage
We were overwhelmed by the response we received for our technology and trends showcase at OLASC16. Thank you to all who attended. Our guest speaker spoke about his personal experience in expanding library hours to meet community needs in an innovative way, a concept referred to as Open Library. He also described the Danish public library environment. There was an excellent exchange of ideas and questions during and following his talk. We followed our keynote with an introduction to two products from our intelligent shelving line: NovelBranch and KingstonShelves. As many of you saw the NovelBranch self service library kiosk on our booth had as its next stop Innisfil Public Library & IdeaLab (where it is being installed right now at the Recreation Centre). Mitch from our team provided a great overview on our Cloud-printing solution, Library PrintSpot and many of you came by our tradeshow booth afterwards to see how easy it is to use. And we closed with an overview of our PeopleWhere staff scheduling solution and a short show & tell of our new Dashboard reporting feature and soon-to-be released attendance module. We were so pleased to see many of our PeopleWhere users in attendance – your support was greatly appreciated! Special thank you to our technology partner Erik from PV Supa who helped make this event possible and to our guest speaker Jorgen Bartholdy, Library Director of the Skanderborg Library.
