Houston Public Library goes live with PC booking software
With implementation assistance from Convergent, Houston Public Library in British Columbia debuts its PC time management software. The software checks for availability and allocates PCs for the library-defined periods. This eliminates double booking and provides for fair use policies for all. Staff time is now more profitably spent in helping library patrons and not in resolving disputes over booking conflicts. Chief Librarian Toni McKilligan reports that both staff and patrons love how smoothly it works and how easy it is use.
