Our LibDeco self check kiosk is specifically designed with special attention being paid to appearance; the design is light, slim, and elegant. All hardware is integrated into the furniture, including the large 22” touchscreen, printer and RFID antenna.
The design places emphasis on usability and ergonomics for users, as well as maintainability and ease of service for the library staff. It is Scandinavian-inspired and incorporates curves into the counter and display. It comes in several models: free-standing fixed height, free-standing adjustable height, wall mount and table top.
Made from hi
gh quality materials including steel and aluminum, our kiosks are engineered to withstand heavy usage and provide long term reliability.
LibDeco supports barcode or RFID collections, and communicates to the ILS via SIP2. It enables the library to provide self-service check out, check in, renewals, and borrower account look-up, in addition to being a launch pad for accessing uniquely curated library services such as events calendar, program registration, room booking, library news, and more.
The UI can be personalized to match the library’s branding, colours and language requirements. UI themes can be chosen to reflect seasons, special events or achievements. Several prepared themes are available by default, or the Library can create its own. In addition the back panel of the kiosk can be easily replaced with a new one to promote the Library or to embrace the seasons and holidays.
Now available with the unique digital poster software, the Library can incorporate carousels of images and videos that actively promote and highlight visually specific events, announcements, etc.
Built upon the same architecture as Convergent’s industry leading NovelBranch, we are pleased to bring this fresh new approach to self-service to Canadian libraries.
